Khagen Singh Hangam is a dedicated political leader, social advocate, and development-focused representative from Taplejung District, currently serving as the Minister for Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives in Koshi Province. Elected to the Province Assembly from Taplejung Constituency 1(2) under the Nepali Congress banner, he is known for his deep connection to his community, bold leadership, and commitment to progress.
Born in Linteep, Meringden Rural Municipality–4 of Taplejung District, Hangam has been actively involved in politics since his youth. His career is deeply rooted in public service, with a focus on improving livelihoods in remote, rural communities through economic empowerment and infrastructure development.
As minister, he has had prioritized sustainable agriculture, cooperative-driven economic models, and industrial innovation across the province. His work in promoting local entrepreneurship, dairy modernization, and tourism—especially in the high-altitude districts like Taplejung—has earned him both recognition and public support.
Khagen Singh Hangam also served as a board member of the Province Investment Authority (PIA), where he plays a strategic role in attracting and managing investments for Koshi Province.
